Live & recorded sessions

Perspective Drawing Webinars

Each session covers a specific aspect of perspective drawing - from ground plane construction to complex architectural scenes - delivered live with time for questions and available as a recording afterwards.

What each session covers

Six structured topics, each self-contained and sequentially connected.

The series moves from foundational geometry through to complex multi-point constructions. Sessions are designed so that each one builds on the previous, but if you join mid-series the recordings let you catch up without losing context. Participants regularly report that working through the earlier sessions first makes the later ones noticeably easier to follow.

01

The station point and picture plane

Before drawing a single line, understanding where the viewer stands and how the picture plane intercepts the scene eliminates most early errors. This session works through the geometry with simple box constructions.

Foundations
02

One-point perspective in interior space

Rooms and corridors are the clearest application of one-point perspective. The session covers locating the vanishing point, controlling depth, and avoiding the common mistake of placing the VP too close to the edge.

Spatial drawing
03

Two-point constructions and corner views

Corner views of buildings or furniture require two vanishing points that must stay on the horizon line. This session shows how to place them at distances that keep proportions believable rather than distorted.

Architecture
04

Inclined planes and sloped surfaces

Rooftops, ramps, and open books all sit at angles that don't converge on the main horizon. The session introduces auxiliary vanishing points and works through three different inclined-plane scenarios step by step.

Intermediate
05

Three-point perspective for tall structures

Looking up at a building or down from a high viewpoint adds a vertical vanishing point. This session works through the geometry of worm's-eye and bird's-eye views and explains why the third VP placement changes the feeling of scale.

Advanced
06

Shadows and reflections in perspective

Cast shadows follow the same vanishing rules as the objects that cast them. This final session connects shadow construction to the light source position and covers reflections in flat horizontal surfaces.

Rendering

How sessions actually run

Live drawing on screen, not slides.

The instructor draws in real time using a graphics tablet, narrating each construction decision as it happens. There are no pre-drawn diagrams revealed at the end - you watch the lines appear in sequence, which makes it much easier to follow the logic. Questions submitted in the chat are addressed during two dedicated Q&A breaks per session.

  • Construction files shared after each session so you can trace over the geometry
  • A short reference sheet covering the key rules demonstrated that week
  • Access to the private discussion thread for follow-up questions between sessions
  • Full recording with chapter markers for each topic covered

Teodora Vanhook

Teodora has spent over a decade teaching technical drawing to architecture students and independent artists. She shifted to online delivery in 2017 after finding that recorded walkthroughs let students pause and rewatch the exact moment a construction clicked for them - something a classroom whiteboard couldn't offer.
